Job Title : Salesforce QA Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications through rigorous testing, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a key role in ensuring that our Salesforce solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and usability.


Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies for Salesforce applications, ensuring complete coverage of requirements and functionality.
  • Define testing objectives, scope, resources, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and user stories.


Test Execution:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual tests for Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing for Salesforce solutions.
  • Execute and maintain both positive and negative test cases to ensure product quality.


• Defect Management:

  • Identify, report, and track defects using Jira or other issue tracking systems.
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects, providing clear steps to reproduce and validating fixes.
  • Verify bug fixes and validate enhancements and new features.


• Salesforce-Specific Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce development best practices, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Test Salesforce integrations with external systems, ensuring data flow, security and integrity.
  • Leverage Salesforce testing tools (e.g., Provar, Selenium, Apex test classes) to ensure efficient and accurate testing.


• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements and testing needs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to validate user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.


• Performance & Load Testing:

  • Conduct performance and load testing for Salesforce applications, ensuring scalability and responsiveness under varying loads.


Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a strong focus on Salesforce applications.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce testing tools, such as Provar, Selenium, or Salesforce-specific testing frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with manual testing, especially in a Salesforce or cloudbased environment.


• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration testing (e.g., RESTful and SOAP APIs).
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git, and continuous integration tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.


• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.


• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant).
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the Salesforce ecosystem.
